
Franklin Township is proud to encourage recycling in our community. Not only does recycling help the environment, it pays! Recycling generates saving by reducing the amounts of trash we dispose of. Franklin Township is now a co-mingling community. All plastic, metal and glass may be mixed together in the same container. The Department of Public Works provides containers and they can be picked up at our office.
Franklin Township recycles the following:
Appliances/Metal – Picked up on the second Monday of each month unless it is a holiday. Please call the Department of Public Works at 856-694-3155 to schedule a pick-up. Remember to remove doors from refrigerators and freezers.
Cans, Glass, and Plastic - All aluminum, tin, bottles, jars, and jugs of any color may all be mixed together with plastic soda, milk and detergent containers for your curbside pick-up.
Cardboard & Paper - All uncontaminated, un-waxed corrugated boxes, panels, newspaper, magazines, books, office paper, junk mail, etc. Please tie or place in a paper bag or cardboard box.
Crankcase Oil - Bring in a secured container to the Township Public Works office on Broad Street from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday to Thursday.
Vegetative - Branches may be scheduled for pick-up during April, May, October and November. Must be tied in bundles no more than four feet long. Call 856-694-3155 to schedule.
