NJDEP #014966-Pesticide Contamination of Ground Water and Soil Case Manager: Unassigned Summary: FMC Corp. Agricultural Chemical Corp. Div. AOC 1-Groundwater sampling has revealed concentrations of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) above Ground Water Quality Standards. FMC Corporation has proposed monitored natural attenuation for the ground water contamination at the site. FMC Corporation has proposed establishing a Classification Exception Area for ground water at the site. AOC 2-Soil-In 1997 a total of approximately 1,365 cubic yards of organochlorine pesticide contaminated soil was excavated for off-site disposal. Soil sampling revealed residual levels of OCPs remaining in soil subsequent to the 1997 soils remedial action. FMC Corporation proposes to incorporate OCP contaminated soil inside the existing fence line into an area-wide Deed Notice with appropriate engineering controls.
